With our time in the city coming to a close, we head back east towards Ilam, on route though we cut south slightly and head towards the town of Cham Chit, a small town that was surprisingly busy, although it is Eid.
I should ad, the road is incredible and for those interested I can provide the GPX data if you get a hold of me on Instagram, @wrongturnadventure Although for how exciting the road was, there was a lot of sleeping in the car going on. from here we cut back into the mountains through tiny little towns before eventually hitting the end of the track where a group of university students were camping. We gave them some space and we found a quite little area to setup. Pina is over the moon, we are back out in nature, he is slowly getting better with training, and will wait at the door till I say he can leave the car.. this has taken some time to achieve.
We set up and Asareh wastes no time getting to cooking. We do potato patties which are fantastic with yogurt on top or even wrapped in a thin bread, cause you can’t beat carbs on carbs. With a small fire going and a fake beer in hand we watch the sun set over the mountain only to notice a flash light getting closer and closer to us. 2 of the uni students were betting on if my car was right or left hand drive, after a quick viewing we offered tea and in return he pulled out a small guitar and played some local music for us. A nice way to finish the night.
The weather is slowly getting better and we are not freezing at night, although the heater is till used as it’s not overly warm out.
