The good news, no rain this morning and the sun is creating a spectacular light show over the lake. The bad news, Pina has taken about a 468% increase in interest to the headliner for some reason. As one would normally do, I smack the head liner, and I hear it, the pitter patter of little feet, we have collected a mouse in the last day while camping in the field I figure.
With a coffee sorted our plan today since the countries are so small and crossing borders is super easy we decide we will motor to Serbia and get a head start on arriving in Bosnia. Our first unplanned stop is at Kalofer, where we promptly learn it is Easter. We still visit one monument dedicated to the wars and then motor on towards the border
The best bit of driving here is not only the freeways with 130 speed limits but all the petrol stations have hotdogs and beer. And not fake hotdogs, the real ones, made of prize winning lips and assholes. For the real flavour. We share a beer and hit the road.
Crossing into Serbia is easy, a few stamps and away we go. No one worries about Pina which is a nice change from the airline bureaucracy. We make 1 attempt in town to find a single shop open for anything, food, booze, sim card!! Anything. With the a dud we get off the freeway system and hop on the side roads and enjoy a slow drive to camp which happens to be a Christmas tree farm. With a nice spot by the river found (Read – only dry spot without mud) we park up for the night and relax.
Tomorrow we will head straight to Sarajevo in Bosnia for a few nights.
You may notice the car is dirty.. then clean.. then dirty.. I try to clean it for each border crossing.. yet every night we find mud..
