I’m pretty sure we skipped breakfast today as Pina woke us up as per the normal at the crack of dawn, which actual works quite well for make the most of our days.  We are spoilt with another cracker of a sunrise and find ourselves having a quick coffee before motoring off, once again talking the mud on exit, in town we restock for lunch on the road and some mouse bait, although this morning while doing morning checks I did get the surprise of seeing a mouse jump of the engine, so was that our mouse? Or a new passenger? Pina is still very interested in the roof

This of course means sourcing yet another car wash before crossing into Bosnia. But before this we make our way on all the side roads till we end up at Potpecka cave, which is a limestone cave with a massive opening, huge! Inside is not overly impressive compared to some places we have been but always worth the visit. So many stairs. Inside was quite cool for a cave as well, only 3-4c

Now it should be mentioned, on these side roads you are lucky to be able to get over 60, the corners are tight, roads are steep and you always have to watch for tractors. So we really don’t make huge progress. About an hour from the cave we find a lovely bit of land that is calling our name for a mangal. Asareh seasoned the pork spot on, I need to bug her for what she used. Mainly cause I have forgotten. We spend a solid hour enjoying the sunny weather while Pina runs around in the grass.

Leaving Serbia and entering Bosnia is a breeze yet again and once we get through we are greeted by the Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge were we stop and go for a walk, the scenery is stunning. But it is just a start to what we are about to drive through.

The river canyon is insane, huge walls, tunnels all over. With the sun still out its windows down and a slow cruise till we find our first pub. Time for a quick leg stretch before we finish our drive into Sarajevo.

We arrive in the dark, which normally we avoid, but its okay today since we are staying in an Airbnb. We are right on the edge of old town which means one thing! Parking this vehicle is going to be a challenge, but its not! Our host has provided us with cash and a local hotel that will allow us to park in the underground. What a win!! We spend the night walking the town enjoying the cool night air… and also putting murder cubes in the car in case the mouse chose not to leave.
