Our pot of rice that is… spills all over the ground for our dinner… but more on that later. We have a freezing wake up, there is a slight wind and that is making the coffee a struggle to heat up as we are running very low on gas. During pack up our tent cover zipper finally breaks in half, I had been struggling with it for ages and today it said enough, not bad for 3 years use on a tent I bought used to begin with. So our main goal today was to head to Baneh and sort out a few items plus meet up with friends for dinner.

Bananas, the people to! Our drive is lovely through the valleys, although a bit snowy in some parts yet again we do find a nice river to sit and finish a cup of tea beside while Pina got his morning stretches in, he even climbed his first tree today! Slowly learning how nature works.

Arriving in town we spend quite some time looking for a zipper, and finally figure it out. Shoe makers! They have the heaviest zippers in town. It is plastic, but I did buy 2 of them just incase we have a failure. It takes maybe ten minutes and we are back on our way after an hour of hunting. The town itself is insanely busy being next to the border, and being a large source of trade. You can find anything here. It feels like you are in a western electronics shop. Very interesting to see.

Then we spill the rice, Its every on the street, what a mess! With plans to spend the night at a friend’s place, there was food pre prepared for our arrival, but at least we got a good photo in front of it. We rock up just in time for it just to start snowing. It was great to watch the car get covered from inside, almost 50mm fell in the night. We had kebab of course and played cards late into the night. An absolute blast. Tomorrow we will push on to Isfahan.
