With the sounds of vehicles passing the car again we get out of bed, but of course we never leave camp without coffee and a chill. Golden rules guys. With the car packed we head north, our goal today is to reach Lviv. We have a nice Airbnb booked in the heart of the town and some foot work to put in. We had a plan to have a relaxing drive which for half the day we did. We slowly moved North to a small down called Novi Strilyscha, where we proceeded to find a quite place to park on a property with permission and unfold the tent so it could dry in the stunning weather and give us a chance for lunch. We spent a solid hour lounging and it was lovely.

Packed up we don’t get far, the wagon has given me the low voltage light, After some quick diagnosing I have made the call the voltage regulator is fried. This stuff does happen and I put it down to winching with muddy water in the alternator. But we continue on to town, which was only another 60kms away.  Arriving at Mitsubishi they don’t have stock of alternators which I do find odd.. but it is what it is, but luckily we are given an address of a local mechanic who only does alternators and starters. With a price agreed, we pull the wagon into his shop, unload our stuff for the next 2 nights in town and head off. The wagon is in good hands.

Quick little inspection

That night we hit up the town and explore around the square where we staying in a heritage apartment from the late 1890’s. very rich in history. And of course, where there is history, there is bars. So away we gooooo…

The next morning is easy to begin, first up you go to the croissant place and grab this super crazy unhealthy one that is loaded with berries and cream. Sadly, as we found out, only local to Lviv. But then we are high on sugar and now off the coffee shop to get freshly roasted beans and a good coffee. Asareh ma y have also posed in a little robe made out of fiberglass. Lol.

The main attraction we found was the house of scientists built back in 1898, and later used for scientists during the soviet ages. With great architecture and just a great overall vibe? Would you say. Super cool place. A lot of history. Including being the cities most popular brothel till 1939, when it then became the recruitment point for hard labour in Germany during the war. Afterwards in 1948, it was used for teaching.

Our night finishes with a call to collect our little rig and we store it nearby. Then its back out into the town for drinks, the place is pumping, its like covid didn’t even exist, we are loving it. I would love to go back on day.
