No wind on wake up, cant beat that. Add in a cup of coffee with a view. We are off to a good start. We sit for 2 hours to let Pina run around and burn some energy off prior to beginning the pack up. We are going to go look for a waterfall on the way back to Ilam where we are to attend the end of Eid celebrations. So, this blog basically covers about 3 days overall.

On our first day, we head to where we will camp, the whole family is there and it’s a party! There are games and fun and food, oh man the food, I always forget to take photos, Her aunties always make sure there is lubia polo available, which is a rice based dish with mince meat and beans in it, put some yogurt on top and you are in heaven. I am always spoiled when I am here and normally my waist line is the one that suffers the most. LOL.

I guess I should add on the drive out to the camp site I was parked at a shop, which I had visited the previous trip, and the owner, as I walked in yelled “The Canada” seriously, great people. But as we leave 2 blazers pull up from the Iran blazer club, they had seen we were in town and when they noticed the car had to stop to say hi and shake hands. There rigs were immaculate condition for the age.

Stocked up with buffalo milk it’s time to party.

My last day in Ilam Asareh’s uncle offers to take me hiking into the mountains, Now the funny bit is we can only communicate on a most basic level. So once out of service we are down to hand signals and me trying to remember what Asareh has taught me. We still have a great time, after reaching the what I presume is the spring of eternal life, we grab a nice spot on the grass. Cup of tea and eggs while hiking? Why not? These guys hike on the regular, so he can hammer along and I am the guy in the back breathing like someone who is about to die. Gotta work on the fitness, and not the fitness-pizza-in-my-mouth style…

A final word on this chapter was how easy it is to put an impression on people. There is a large litter issue and on our last day camping Asareh grabbed a bag and started cleaning the area, as we normally do, Its all rubbish that has blown in and what not, but we want the next family to enjoy it. When we notice the next camp site has chosen to copy us and the guys have bags and are cleaning the field. It was good to see, and probably seeing a tourist clean up your country may push them to be cleaner.
